Steering Committee

The Steering Committee (SC) of the Cancer Network Zurich consists of leading oncology research experts from both the University of Zurich and the Swiss federal Institute of Technology Zurich. In addition, the members of the SC represent various areas of the basic and the clinical cancer research, respectively. The SC is headed by a chair, who acts as a the spokesman of the organization. The chair is elected by the members of the SC for the duration of one year. A re-election is possible.
The SC is responsible for defining and establishing the operational aspects policies of the Cancer Network Zurich, for facilitating interactions of the CNZ with other research institutions, as well as for establishing links to the private sector. It is also authorized to make budgetary decisions and to allocate scientific and technical support to individual CNZ groups.
